2009 Awards

Every Year our Association will try to reward a chosen member for their hard work, commitment, and helpfulness to others. This year two members have been chosen based on many feedbacks from other members (yes members do talk). Two return flight tickets to Hong Kong with the chance to train in Hong Kong are awarded to:

Andrew Francis has been a member from Chelmsford from the very beginning when the branch first opened. He has worked hard in his training, and also on the terminology side of his discipline. Andrew have worked through many personal hurdles and yet is now a principle character in this Association. It amazes us that he will find time for fellow members to share his experiences, knowledge, and personal facilities to help them further in their training. He is also a successful Instructor teaching privately.

Rachel Wong who has been a member in Basildon for many years. At first she was a member like many others who struggled with discipline and commitment. In the last 3 years she has shown great improvement not only as a person, but for her dedication to our Lion Dance Team playing a principle role as a Drummer. She was also very well received whilst our team was in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Lion Dance Team. Through time and maturity she has also displayed patience and making training fun for beginners training in Basildon.

I hope that you two will stay with us for many more years as great representatives of what we strive for and that is high morals in our discipline and to be selfless of what we have gained with other members of the Association. Please accept our gift and gratitude for your hard work.
