Chinese martial art traditions did not believe in the structure of coloured grading or certifications. However, grading has been introduced in the hope of guaranteeing the quality of instruction and skills achieved. It is a safety barrier against unscrupulous instructors teaching without a proper level of knowledge or understanding.

Grading in this Association is recommended by its instructors.

Our instrcutors are continuosly assessed.

Grading Order:

1. White 2.Yellow 3. Green 4. Blue 5. Red 6. Black
Please note that these colours does not correspond with any other organisations. These are stages in our Association to help in assessing a student's training of basics.

Note:
We usually have three block bookings annually January, May, and October. However, if a member feels that they cannot make these dates then they can arrange for a mutual time through their Sifu.

All grades must pass the minimum of 'C' grade.
